K-9 GORO

NEWBURGH POLICE DEPARTMENT (INDIANA)

On the date of May 8, 2021 a Deputy with the Warrick County Sheriffs Office had a vehicle stopped in the area of SR66 and Epworth Rd. The Deputy asked me to come to his stop so I could run my K9 partner Goro around the vehicle for a free air sniff. I arrived at the stop and ran Goro around the car. Goro gave me a final alert that there was an odor of an illegal narcotic coming from inside the vehicle. After search of the vehicle, Officers found a total weight of 32.21 grams of methamphetamine, pipes, syringes, scales and other illegal paraphernalia. After some investigation, the female in the vehicle admitted to having heroin stashed on her person. That had a total weight of 0.71 grams.
